    • England's Emily Campbell adds Commonwealth gold to her weightlifting medal haul with a record-breaking performance at Birmingham's NEC.

Right anyone fancy a quick recap of some of Wednesday's best bits?

  7. Gold medal - Wales - Aled Sion Davies

    Men’s discus F42-44/61-64 final

Paralympic legend Aled Sion Davies completes the gold medal set by becoming Commonwealth Games champion for the first time.

Davies wins the F42-44/61-64 men's discus final with a throw of 51.39m.

Davies' gold follows on from the success of fellow Wales Paralympian Olivia Breen who won the T37/38 women's 100m title.

Fellow Welshman Harrison Walsh claims a bronze medal with Sri Lanka's Palitha Halgahawela Gedara winning silver.

Defending champion Dan Greaves from England finishes fourth.

Even though Greaves (54.66) and Walsh (54.76) threw further than Davies, the Welshman was still crowned champion as he produced a Commonwealth Games record.

This was because this competition combines different para-athletic classes so the final result was based on points rather than distance.

  8. A long time coming...

For 10 years Eilish McColgan has been chasing a major title, with just one silver medal in the European Championships to show for all that effort and pain.

Tonight she won gold for Scotland in an emotional 10,000m, emulating mum Liz in the process.

Just another wonderful moment from these Games already...

"I did that victory lap with Jessica Ennis-Hill back in 2012 and I remember seeing everyone's faces and that is when I decided to quit university and I wanted to do this professionally, because I wanted that moment and I know it is not an Olympic Games and Tokyo happened but this has just been so incredible.

"The stadium has been packed every day and the crowd has been so amazing I am so happy I was able to put on a performance to them."

"I am in fantastic shape but I need to do better in these finals. Its fantastic I am racing the fastest woman to have ever existed and the fact I am getting closer and these women are so encouraging it's a great atmosphere to be a part of."

  14. Athletics

    Michael Johnson

Daryll Neita didn't get a good start again, but she wasn't able to find that same sort of acceleration that she found in the semis that led to a personal best but still found enough for bronze medal.

  17. Post update

    Women's 100m final

Daryll Neita clocked 11.07 seconds there. Mixed emotions...?

Had she replicated her semi-final that would have been a gold.

Watch: Commonwealth Games boxing action from day five (15)

    Colin Jackson

I don't think from the gun there was going to be any mistake she got out of the blocks so aggressively, she has company from Julien Alfred but she is so calm under this sort of pressure.

  19. Gold medal - Jamaica - Elaine Thompson-Herah

    Women's 100m final

Double Olympic 100m champion Elaine Thompson-Herah does the business, winning in 10.95.
