Some aspects are sillier than others, and harder to swallow but overall it reads well. People see things they aren't used to and immediately call it an attempt to be woke. Looking past all of the shows comedic and fictional elements it shows the ugly truth behind eating disorders and how they don't just magically go away. As someone who has always shared a bad relationship with food it seemed realistic and accurate when it came to the topic of eating disorders. All in all the show is fun and genuinely "camp." The characters are funny and relatable. I don't see the issue with it and if you do then - I don't know - go watched Greys Anatomy or Friends or something - it'll suit your preferences better.
